At Skin Studio, we strive to provide exceptional service to all our clients. To ensure that we can accommodate everyone’s needs, we have implemented the following policy:

A valid credit card is required to hold your appointment. By providing your credit card information, you authorize Skin Studio to charge your card in accordance with our policies.

By booking your appointment at Skin Studio, you authorize Skin Studio to charge your card a late cancellation or no-show fee.

Missed Appointments & Cancellations

We require a minimum of 48 hours notice to cancel or reschedule an appointment. This allows us to offer the time slot to other clients who may be on our waiting list.

If you cancel your appointment with less than 48 hours notice or fail to show up for your scheduled appointment, your credit card on file will be charged 100% of the scheduled service fee.  If you have paid a deposit for any service, your deposit will be non-refundable.

This policy is in place to compensate our staff for their time and to maintain the high quality of service we offer.

To cancel or reschedule your appointment, please contact us directly at prior to the 48-hour window before your scheduled appointment. You can also cancel through our online booking system.

By booking an appointment with Skin Studio you agree to this cancellation policy.

We appreciate your understanding and cooperation. Our goal is to provide you with the best service possible, and adhering to this policy helps us achieve that.

Late Arrivals

Due to schedule commitments to other clients’ schedules, we may have to reschedule any appointment for which you are more than 15 minutes late.

In the event that you are late by 15 minutes or more, you are subject to canceling/rescheduling your appointment and will be charged 100% of the scheduled services. Please understand that this is to ensure that every client receives the appropriate time for their services. It is possible that late arrivals can still be accommodated, however, this is done at our discretion based on the availability of our schedules and your particular services. Please call if you are running late so that we can do our best to accommodate you.

How often should I get a facial?

To maintain a healthy and clear complexion, ideally once a month. Some treatments can be done weekly or biweekly.

What is included in a facial?

All of our facials are customized to your skincare concerns. First, we’ll start with double cleansing, skin analysis, steam, exfoliation, and extraction (manual deep cleaning). Then, we will do disinfection by High Frequency, facial massage, finishing mask for your face, neck, and chest, toner, serum, moisturizer & sunscreen, and advice on home care.

Why should I get a facial at Skin Studio?

The facial is a specialized skincare treatment performed by a licensed esthetician. During your facial treatment, we will analyze your skin and go over your skin concerns. Regular facials treatments can improve acne, prevent signs of aging, and enhance the overall complexion of your skin. Professional advice from estheticians about correct home care is also a very important part of healthy skin. We won Best Facial awards in 2017, 2016, and 2014 by Boston A-List.

What is a chemical peel or corrective peel?

A special solution is used to improve and smooth the texture of the skin, which causes the dead skin to slough off and eventually peel off. New skin will feel smoother and better hydrated. We only use professional-grade esthetic non-toxic light to medium range of chemical facial peels: Glycolic Acid-A chemical exfoliant that promotes regeneration of skin and improves the appearance of aging skin, Lactic Acid – Offers exfoliating and moisture retention properties and will promote softer, smoother skin as well as improvement in the appearance of fine lines, Salicylic Acid-An antiseptic exfoliant that deeply cleanses pores and Modified Jessner Acid -effective acids to help reduce the appearance of melasma, freckles, acne and mild cases of rosacea.

What should I know before waxing?

Make sure to have a minimum of 3 weeks of hair growth, at least a quarter of an inch. Please do not use any moisturizing creams on your body on the day of waxing.

Why should I get waxing at Skin Studio?

We’ve done a lot of waxing, and only use the finest hard wax out there, our technique is fast and as painless as possible. We won multiple waxing awards. Best Waxing 2017 by Boston A-List, as well as Best Waxing studio in Boston 2013 by Improper Bostonian.

What kind of wax is used in the Skin Studio?

We only use top-quality hard wax. We apply warm wax with a special wooden applicator, letting wax dry for a few seconds, and then pull it off by the edge of the wax patch, no strips used. This type of hard wax is very gentle on the skin and is great for Brazilian bikini and the face. You must try our wax! We won Best WAXING studio 2013 by Improper Bostonian.

What is the difference between a regular bikini, a french bikini & brazilian bikini?

A regular bikini is a very basic bikini area wax, just sides and a bit across the top French bikini is more of a thong bikini, more taking off from the sides and top, but nothing from the back; the Brazilian bikini is everything off from front and back or you can leave a little triangle or “landing strip” choose your style :-)

When can I go in the sun after waxing?

We recommended waiting 24 hours.

When waxing is not recommended?

Waxing is not recommended for users of prescriptions like Retin-A and Accutane. You should wait about a week after corrective peels, and no waxing after tanning for 24-48 hours. Contact the studio for questions.

I am pregnant, can I get waxed?

Yes, absolutely.

Oops bad timing, it’s that time of the month, can I get wax?

Yes, it’s not a problem for us, you maybe a bit more sensitive that it.

Why we use a Lamprobe?

A Lamprobe is a unique tool that we use to remove minor skin irregularities like telangiectasia, cherry angiomas (blood spots), fibromas (growths), skin tags, cholesterol spots & spider veins.

What is Ultrasonic?

Treatment that provides gentle and safe deep pore exfoliation along with product infusions by utilizing the energy waves of ultrasound, resulting in clean and hydrated skin.

What is Microdermabrasion?

A system that removes the topmost layer of the skin by gently polishing the skin with natural diamond chips bonded to the tip of the wand, while vacuuming the exfoliated skin cells away in a controlled manner.

What is IPL Photofacial?

It is a non-invasive and non-surgical technique that improves all the visible elements of the skin altered by the sun or aging, including wrinkles, laxity, roughness, enlarged pores, talagectacias (red capillaries), erythema (redness), and uneven pigmentation.

Why would you get a Lactic Acid Peel?

Great for aging, dry, sun-damaged, and dehydrated skin.

Jessner Peel?

Great for aging skin, sun-damaged, and hyperpigmentation.

Salicylic Acid Peel?

Great for acnetic skin, mild rosacea, hyperpigmentation, and rough skin.
